　　Facial symmetry,an indication of good physical and genetic conditions,is an essential factor in the perception of facial attractiveness.Although facial symmetry has been studied in orthodontics for decades,the decision of whether a face is symmetrical or asymmetrical is still subjective and differs greatly among evaluators in clinical practice.The aim of this study was to develop a novel objective diagnostic method for the evaluation of facial asymmetry.
