Periodontitis is a common and frequently encountered oral disease. It has been widely studied since the end of the 19th century. There are a lot of clinical indicators to describe periodontal conditions. But most previous epidemiological studies just measure some representative teeth, considering the large sample poulation, time consuming, poor measuring conditions and so on.On the other hand, the sample size of many clinical studies is small, although they do record periodontal indicators of every tooth comprehensively.
