Objective: Computer-aided design/computer-assisted machining(CAD/CAM)has been widely used in prosthodontics since 1970s.One common way is to manufacture copings by CAD/CAM,and then finish restorations using traditional method.Comparison of CAD/CAM with traditional methods on the marginal adaptation of restorations has been widely studied, but the results are quite different. The goal of this investigation is to compare the marginal adaptation of casting restorations whose pattern fabricated by traditional method and CAD/CAM using wax respectively and fabricated by CAD/CAM using resin.
