CFETR which stands for ‘China Fusion Engineering Test Reactor’ is a national scientific research project of China in future.It is a large full-superconducting tokamak system that means the complex magnet system of the machine includes the Toroidal Field (TF) coils,Center Solenoid (CS) coils and Poloidal Field (PF) coils will be wound with of CICC.The CICC stands for ‘cable in conduit’ conductors,where a stainless steel jacket is packed with filaments of Nb3Sn (or NbTi),and super-critical helium at 4.5 K is force-flowed through the central channel of the conductor.Center Solenoid Model Coil (CSMC) is a pre-research project of CFETR whose task is to design and manufacture the CS superconducting model coil to gain wider experience to solve relevant engineering and physical problems.CSMC has the same scientific goals and physical parameters with future CS superconducting magnet.
