Silica nanoparticles, as one of the most important nanomaterials, has been widely used in a variety of fields. Thus, their effects on human health and environment have been addressed in several studies. In this paper, the multinucleation effects of amorphous silica nanoparticles (SNPs) were investigated in human hepatic L-02 cells. Results showed that L-02 cells displayed an abnormal high incidence of multinucleation that increased with silica dose.
