Purpose:The incidences of both atrial fibrillation-related cardioembolic infarction and warfarin-related intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) increase with advance of age.Although accumulating evidence suggests the presence of cerebral microbleedsonT2*weighted magnetic resonance images as a risk factor for ICH,little is known about its significance in anticoagulated patients.The aim of this study was to investigate the association between cerebral rnicrobleeds and warfarin-related ICH in the elderly.
