  Ethyl carbamate (EC) occurs in various alcoholic beverages and fermented foods during their fermentation.The complex matrix of food sample makes pretreatment for determination an indispensable procedure.There are several reports for the analysis of EC based on solid-phase microextraction (SPME) due to its unique advantages.SPME fiber with predetermined selectivity will further improve its applicability.Molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) have been provedto be powerful materials with selective recognition performance.Using MIPs as SPME coating materials will broaden the applications of MIPs, whats more, a creative evolution of SPME coating.
