Objective: To observe the effects of using evidence-based nursing model to mitigate the fear of cancer patients before radiotherapy and to effectively improve the quality of radiotherapy.Methods: Exactly 120 cancer patients from the Department of Oncology who underwent radiotherapy from February 2011 to February 2012 were taken as subjects of this study.The patients were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 60 people in each group.Patients in the control group were administered conventional nursing before radiotherapy and patients in the observation group were treating using evidencebased nursing model.The two groups were compared with each other.The fear of patients before radiotherapy and the effect of radiotherapy in the two groups were compared.
