N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase 4(GALNT4), the fourth member of the GALNTs family, can transfer GalNAc from the sugar donor UDP-GalNAc to serine and threonine residues of the target proteins to initiate mucin-type O-glycosylation.To investigate the clinical significance of GALNT4 expression in patients with clear-cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC), 104 patients who had undergone curative nephrectomy at Zhongshan Hospital during 2004 were enrolled in this study.
