Over the last few years, the treatment of cancer has evolved many folds.The expansion of genomics hasgivenbirth to the development of newer novel targeted therapies interfering crucial cellular signaling pathways that lead to cancer proliferation.However, the cost of above treatment has increased tremendously and becoming unsustainable.Many funding agencies and governments are gradually experiencing the impact of exuberant cost of cancer treatment and their side-effects.There are very little efforts made so farto curbtreatment cost as well as prevention of treatmentrelated side-effects.The cost-effective cancer treatment includes appropriate surgery, altered fractionated radiotherapy, established systemic chemotherapy, hormone therapy and judicious combination of above modalities.
