Graphenehas been considered as a promising reinforcement due to its high elastic modulus (higher than 1000 GPa) [1],high fracture strength (more than 120 GPa) [2] and extreme high thermal conductivity (about 5300 W/(m·K)) [3].It has been widely found that the addition of graphenenanoflakes (GNFs),which which possess similar properties of single-layer graphene but easier to be produced and handled, could significantly improve the mechanical properties of resin and ceramics [4-7].However,the research using graphene or GNFs to reinforce metal matrix (such as Al alloys) has been less nvestigated.
