Ionic liquids (LLs), typically consisting of organic cations and inorganic anions, have been used to a large extent as media for chemical transformations and enzyme-catalysed reactions, due to their advantageous properties including negligible vapor pressure, high thermal and chemical stability and recyclability[1].In recent years, many biotransformations in ILs or other systems containing ILs have been conducted successfully and in many cases with remarkably improved results[2].
