The Nakano City Agricultural Cooperative Society has developed and marketed a product called Enoki Ice, which is the fruiting body of F.velutipes made into a paste and frozen.While there are anecdotal reports that eating Enoki Ice leads to weight loss and other benefits, little scientific basis has been provided for such claims.In this report, we analyze differences in Enoki Ice manufacturing methods and manifestation of its effects.
