EML4-ALK fusion gene is found in only a small subset (2-6%) of non-small cell lung cancer.Using high sensitive and specific detection method to identify this rare but important fusion in patients with NSCLC is an urgent need.Multiplex reverse transcription-PCR, fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH), and immunohistochemistry (IHC) with the intercalated antibody-enhanced polymer method have been sporadically used in China.The results of comparisons of their sensitivities and specificities in EML4-ALK detection will be showed in speech.Besides, we will compare the gene status between EML4-ALK and other driven-mutation genes, such as EGFR and K-ras.
