With the development of efficient stem cell therapies, it is of key importance for tracking the fate of administrated stem cells in both experimental models and clinical trials,especially that of the transplanted cells over a long period of time.In this study, we synthesized quantum dot-sized organic dots with aggregation-induced emission property, which exhibited bright far-red/near-infrared fluorescence and very low potential in vivo toxicity.
