Bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) for repairing damaged heart tissue are a new kind of treatment options because of their potential to differentiate into cardiomyocytes.Previous studies in our study have showed that electrical stimulation can induce rat bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (rBMSCs) to dif ferentiate into cardiomyocyte like cells.But the mechanism is still unclear.Thus,the purpose of this study is to investigate whether electrical stimulation promoting rBMSCs differentiation into cardiomyocyte-like cells is mediated via TGF-beta 1 (TGF-β1).
