Objective: PLCL1 (phospholipase C-like 1) encodes an inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate (IP3) binding protein that can inhibit IP3 mediated calcium signaling.Yet the accurate mechanism by which PLCL1 played in the pathogenesis of idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (IIMs) is unclear. One genome-wide association studies (GWAS) have designated PLCL1 as a potential risk factor for dermatomyositis (DM).In our study, we investigated whether PLCL1 polymorphisms could be associated with IIMs in Chinese Han.
