Calcium plays an important role in higher-plant signaling pathways.Yellow cameleon(YC)is a powerful tool to monitor the spatial-temporal dynamics of Ca2+ fluxes. Here,we for the first time generated rice transgenic lines that contain Yellow cameleon 3.6(YC3.6)indicator.We used the Arabidopsis UBIQUITIN10(UBQ10)promoter in addition to the routine Cauliflower mosaic virus(CaMV)35S promoter because the 35S promoter may cause gene silencing and co-suppression events.
