Elongation of maize internode cells is a critical indicator of developmental phase transitions,and is also an important trait that determines plant height; however,little is known about its epigenetic regulation.Here,we surveyed genome-wide profiles of DNA methylation and gene expression in un-elongated and elongating intemode cells of inbred line B73 to explore epigenetic mechanisms regulating intemode cell elongation.
