Recently,rapid and impressive progress has been reported in the field of AFM,specifically noncontact atomic force microscopy(NC-AFM),including chemical identification and manipulation of individual surface atoms,atomic resolution of graphene,carbon nanotubes,C60 and planar organic molecules,even discrimination of individual carbon-carbon bond orders in polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and fullerenes.
