Background Metadherin (MTDH), also known as astrocyte elevated gene-1 (AEG-1), a novel oncogene, is involved in the development and progression of lots of cancers.MTDH has been found contributed to the pathogenesis of DLBCL mediated by activation of Wnt/b-catenin pathway.MTDH can distinctly enhance cell proliferation and inhibit cell apoptosis in DLBCL cells.There is documented association between epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) and malignant disease.Studies has been reported an EMT-like process in diffuse large-B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL).This study aimed to illuminate the relationship between MTDH and EMT in DLBCL.
