Objective: To investigate the potential risk factors.of oral and maxillofacial surgery staff in posttraumatic stress disorder.Methods: We used PTSD-SS Checklist established by Liu Xianchens to evaluate 54 dental professional intern and 40 rotary practice nurses between January 2011 to December 2012 through participation in the diagnosis and treatment of oral and maxillofacial trauma patients.Results: the PTSD-SS found that 80 participants withdrawn from trauma patients, repeated reproduction of treatment of trauma patients scene has has occurred in 35 people, increased awareness in 43 people, and impaired social function in 12.Conclusion: The risk factors of potential post-traumatic stress disorder of medical staff may include work-related stress, individual susceptibility, and social concern.At present, young personal is main part of oral and maxillofacial surgery, and their physical and mental health is directly related to the quality of medical service.It is imperative to call every member of our society to concern and understand the PTSD of oral and maxillofacial staff, pay attention to their physical and mental health, and promote the development of oral and maxillofacial surgey.
