Energy transfer from a sensitizer to an activator enables the activator to receive more energy so as to emit strongly.Based on energy transfer principle, color tunable luminescence with high emission efficiency can be achieved if the sensitizer-activator pair is correctly selected.In the present work, we show some luminescent materials designed basing on energy transfer for phosphor converted white LEDs.The phosphors can exhibit enriched red emission that is deficient in general white LEDs.
