The Brassica C genome contains a number of wild species in addition to the wide range of vegetable crop morphotypes that are of significant economic value. The health benefits of these crops are now being widely recognised.Despite this several of the wild species are IUCN red listed as endangered. At Warwick we have created a Brassica C genome diversity foundation set collection of wild accessions, and a crop diversity set spanning morphotypes,to capture the wild and cultivated diversity.
