　　Reconsent involves asking research participants to reaffirm their consent for involvement in a study when procedures, risks, or benefits change.Reconsent can allow continued access to data that have already been collected or participants who have already been recruited.This procedure has been used in numerous biomedical studies, but social science research and sexual health research rarely employ reconsent.
