In Japan,the efficient use of water in firefighting activity is of increasing importance after the great Kobe earthquake in 1995.Firefighting foam concentrate containing surfactants in major proportions(firefighting foam)could reduce the usage of water.It allows fire fighters to extinguish a fire much faster than water alone.
