Solution-processed organic-inorganic perovskites have attracted much attention due to their remarkable photoelectric conversion efficiency and great potentials in the low-cost and large-scale manufacture of photovoltaic devices. However, when the conventional sequential deposition method is adopted to fabricate bilayered mesostructured and/or planar-structured perovskite solar cells, the problem of inefficient conversion of PbI2 in short-term dipping time arose, which is believed to be detrimental to device stability and reproducibility.
