Nonconventional luminogens without classic conjugated structures have aroused great interests because of their significant fundamental importance and promising technical applications.The emission mechanism,however,remains under debate.Previously,we observed intriguing emission from common rice and other natural products like starch,cellulose,and dextran.[1] And we proposed clusteringtriggered emission(CTE)mechanism,namely clustering of nonconventional chromophores and subsequent electron cloud overlap that results in extended electron delocalization and conformation rigidification,to rationalize the origin of the emission.
