The suprascapular nerve (SN) is mostly entrapped within the suprascapular notch.In this study, our aim is to examine the morphological features of the superior transvers scapular ligament (STSL), the relationship of SN with this ligament and the adjacent vascular structures and any other structures that may cause the entrapment syndrome.Fifty sides of 26 formaldehyde fixed cadavers (25 right, 25 left) were dissected.SN beginning from its origin, STSL, and the vascular structures passing over or under this ligament were investigated.
