Vertebral hemangiomas (VHs) are the most common form of benign tumors in the vertebral column, albeit their etiology is still unclear.We aimed to characterize VHs from an anatomical viewpoint by studying their pattern of distribution along the spine and vertebral body;to detect differences in spinal and vertebral architecture between individuals with and without VHs;and to examine whether VHs are associated with other spinal and generalized pathologies.
