This study aims to examine the relation of SES represented by income, education and occupation to impaired fasting glucose (IFG), T2DM, and the control of T2DM in 7315 Chinese who were aged 20-79 living in Tianjin, China.Diabetes and IFG were ascertained according to the WHO criteria (1999).Data were analyzed using multinomial and binary logistic regression with adjustment for potential confounders.Among all participants, 532 (7.3%) persons had IFG, 688 (9.4%) persons had T2DM, and undiagnosed T2DM was identified as 288 (3.9%) persons.
