The term-photorefractive"(PR)loosely characterizes a material that exhibits a temporal change of its refractive index induced by illumination.[1] Using carbazole group as transporting group and carbazole-azo-nitrobenzene as NLO chromophore,bi-functional PR CRA-C-Cz(100-x)-Azo(x)were synthesized by the esterification reaction of CRA-COCl with Cz-OH and Cz-Azo,where x represented the mole percent of feed-in Cz-Azo among total monomer.
