Block copolymers consisting of a long soluble block attached to a shorter crystallizable block often self-assemble in solution to form fiber-like (cylindrical) micelles,particularly when the self-assembly is driven by the crystallization of the shorter block.This phenomenon is now well established for block copolymers with various different semicrystalline polymers as the core-forming block.
