　　In this talk,we first point out some limitations of PHT-spline basis,i.e.,some of the basis functions decay rapidly for certain mesh refinement,which leads to numerical instability in data fitting and finite element analysis.We then propse a new basis construction for the PHT-splines which overcome the above limitations.
