Aphids are important agricultural pests throughout the world, often causing major economic losses.Their abilities of fast breeding and easily developing resistance to insecticides make their population control challenging. The major component of aphid alarm pheromone,(E)-β-farnesene(Eβf),is released when aphids are attacked by natural enemies and is also repellent to other aphids, causing avoidance behavior when detected [1].Therefore,it is a potentially valuable tool in the development of new aphid control strategies. However, field application of this pheromone presents some disadvantages for its relative volatility and instability in the environment [2].Therefore,it is necessary to find new Eβf analogues that are more stable and efficient.
