Aim: Gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) was reported had cytotoxic effect on gliobastoma cells.In this study, we investigated the direct cytotoxic action of GLA against gliobastoma cells and the underlying mechanisms.Methods: Glioblastoma cells (GBM2) were treated with 25, 75, and 150 μmol/L GLA for 24 h and the proliferation activity of cells were detected by MTT assay.
