Follicular unit transplantation surgery is a widely accepted hair restoration technique.We have been performed follicular unit transplantation using an electric extractor and pneumatic implanter and good results have been obtained.We report on the details of our operative procedure with presenting the cases of this method.Our follicular unit transplantation surgery is performed in three stages, extracting follicular units by an electric extractor with a punch of 0.8mm in diameter from patient s occipital region, creating a recipient site for implanting follicular units by an electric extractor with a punch of 0.65mm in diameter, and then, implanting follicular units to the recipient site by a pneumatic implanter.It can be transplanted 3000 follicular units (approx.7500 hairs) at one surgery.
