The use of high field MRR H1 spectroscopy can measure tCho Invivo.Results of numerous ex vivo and in vivo studies have shown that neoplastic breast tissue contains elevated levels of total choline-containing compounds (tCho) which have methyl protons that resonate at a chemical shift of 3.2ppm.All MR imaging measurements were performed by using a 4T research MRI (Model 4T-900 Oxford Magnet Technology, Oxfordsire, England with clinical gradients system Sonata; Siemens Erlanger, Germany) with an imaging spectrometer unit Inova; Varian (Palo Alto, California).
