Panax notoginseng is an important perennial medicinal plant in Asia that displays higher death rates under continuous cropping systems.The variations in bacterial and fungal communities caused by notoginseng continuous cropping systems have neither been identified nor determined if particular taxa are universally associated with the notoginseng death phenomenon.
