Neural stem cells (NSCs) isolated from neonatal rat were grown in suspended neurosphere cultures, identified by their electrophysiological function and expression ofnestin protein as well as capacity for self-renewal.After treatment of cultured neurosphere with a low concentration of Vitamin isoform δ-tocopherol for cell differentiation, it showed significant increase in the percentage of β-III-tubulin-positive cells and also stimulates morphological and functional maturation of neurons in culture.
