Diagnosing eutrophication state of reservoirs and/or rivers is difficult since it can be time-consuming and intricate to evaluate with a large numberof water quality parameters.In this work we proposed a method to evaluate eutrophication state of a large shallow drinking water reservoir.We screened COD,UV254,total nitrogen(TN),total phosphorus(TP),and TN/TP ratio as dominant trophic parameters,and validated with two-years filed data.
