Value of ultrasound in diagnosis of breast cancer in younger women (under 40 years old)

  Objective Value of ultrasound in diagnosis of breast cancer in women under 40 years old.Methods Performed in 71 women under 40 years old,from January 2014 to December 2011 at Viêt Nam 103 hospital.Writen records were reviewed for ultrasound with BI-RADS assessment and histological results.We calculated the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of ultrasound method with the gold standand of pahological results.Results Among 71 patients, there are 40 primary breast cancer and 31 benign.The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of ultrasonography were 80.0%,80.6%, 80.3%.Conclusion Ultrasonography provide a high diagnostic breast cancer in younger women under 40 years old.
