High-temperature ceramics of silicoboron carbonitride(SiBCN)and metal carbide(ZrC,TiC,WC etc.)nanocomposites are fabricated from polyborosilazane dispersed with metal nanoparticles(Zr,Ti,W etc.,30-50 nm)through pyrolytic conversion and in-situ carbonization reactions.The nanocomposites consist of amorphous SiBCN phase dispersed with metal carbides in nanophases,formed through the reaction of metals and the free carbon at the pyrolytic and reaction temperature of 1300℃ in argon.
