Owning to the long distance communication between the chiral center and reactive site,the remote control of enantioselection is usually difficulty.In the past 15 years, we are interested in developing a simple strategy to solve this problem and found that a pendant group (sidearm)at the bridged carbon of bisoxazolines(TOX and SaBOX) can tune finely the forged cavity of reactive cite as well as the electronic natur-e of the central metal.And thus, in comparison with the parent BOX ligands, the TOX and SaBOX-derived metal catalysts usually exhibit higher efficiency, higher diastereo-and enantio-selectivity,together with better impurity-tolerance and stabilityin a number of asymmetric reactions.
