Borehole temperature comprises an independent archive of information on climate change which is complement-ary to the meteorological and other climate proxy records. This paper presents our on-going effort to improve the accessibility and functionalities of the existing Global Database of Borehole Temperatures for Climate Reconstructions(GDBTCR).The intended improvements include: 1)dynamically linking a borehole site to Google Maps/Earth to allow for inspection of site specific geographical information; 2)dynamically linking an original key reference of a given borehole site to Google Scholar to allow for a complete list of related publications; and 3)visually enabling site selection and data download based on country, coordinate range, and contributor. In order to achieve the goal,a suite of Google Cloud Platform technologies have been integrated into the database construction. We invite contributions and feedbacks from the geothermal and climate research communities to make the GDBTCR an even better and more useful resource in climate research.
