　　Mushroooms have always been included in Asian "herbal" medicine, and in recent years, various therapeutically useful metabolites were already identified from their sporocarps.The current paper, however, is dedicated to novel compounds that were found in the cultures of basidiomycetes, where a complementary secondary metabolism as compared to the fruitbodies is normally encountered.
