Comparative evaluation of pharmacodynamics and irritation of microemulsion and cream loaded Ibuprofe

　　The aim of this work is to comparative evaluation of pharmacodynamics and irritation of ME and cream loaded Ibuprofen in vivo.From histopathological examination, ME shows similar property with control, while cream shows higher damage on epidermal.Hot plate test and mouse writhing response in vitro, were designed to evaluate the pharmacodynamics of ME and cream.ME shows longest time of threshold of pain.The rank of analgesic rate from writhing response is ME >cream >control.The value of analgesic rate of ME and cream is 87.5% and 37.5%, respectively.Compared with the two formulations, the present study illustrates ME shows high pharmacodynamics and low toxicity.These results suggest that ME is suitable for topical application.
