An alternative hybrid seed production system was established in Brassica napus by using herbicide tolerant line as male parent and the chemical emasculated line as female parent. To produce hybrid seeds, the male and female parents were grown alternatively at the planting ratio of 1 male line:4 female lines. The chemical hybridization agent Tribenuron-methyl at the concentration of 0.075 mg/L~0.1 mg/L was applied to the female lines at the stage of bolting and when the largest flower buds reached 2mm.
