The Wei River transfers from equilibrium or quasi-equilibrium state to seriouse deposition after the operation of the Sanmenxia Reservoir,as the operation of reservoir leads to elevation rising of Tongguan Hydrology Station.While sediment in the Wei River is mainly contributed by the Jing River,which is origined in the soil erosion area of Loess Plateau.So,Dongzhuang Reservoir is planned to construct at Jing River to reduce the depostion in the Lower Wei River.The reservoir is located at 14km upper from the Zhangjiashan Hydrology Station,which is the controlling station of Jing River.
