Qaidam Basin is a plateau basin in northwest of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.The northwest of the basin is close to the extreme drought areas,while the southeast is nearby the edge of the East Asian summer monsoon,which is sensitive to the climate change.Studying the change of the sandy field area during special periods in the basin is of great significance to the evolution of the environment.There will be better understanding on the mid-latitudes climate change models.
